Nutella POUND Cake
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 LARGE eggs at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 tsp. Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 sticks SOFTENED unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cups SUGAR
- One jar of Nutella – using about 6 heaping tablespoons
Preheat oven to 325 degrees and grease a loaf pan with cooking spray and a sprinkle of flour.
In a measuring cup, BEAT the eggs and vanilla.
In a bowl, whisk the 1 1/2 cups of flour with baking powder and salt. In another bowl, BEAT the butter and SUGAR with a HAND mixer until FLUFFY. GRADUALLY BEAT in the egg mixture until FLUFFY.
Add the flour mixture SLOWLY on a low speed just until all is incorporated.
SPREAD 1/3 of the batter in the pan then half the Nutella, SWIRLING it LIGHTLY. TOP with another 1/3 of the batter and the rest of the Nutella. TOP with the remaining batter.
Bake for about an hour and 15 minutes (a good time for that quickie)! INSERT a toothpick INTO CENTER to see if it comes out clean. This is when it is done and it is to be cooled!
Cut into slices and enjoy!
