Pizza has always been synonymous with something you may eat sloppy and sexy due to the melting cheese and sauce that tends to drip down your lips with every bite.
Pizza
- Pizza dough – 1 cup plain yogurt and 1 cup self rising flour (makes one small pie)
- Pizza dough can also be bought from your local pizzeria or grocery store
- 1 lb. Fresh mozzarella, shredded
- Sauce (see my “Dripping with Sauce”)
- Handful Arugula
- Handful Basil
- olive oil
- Grilled chicken
- Ricotta
- any toppings you desire
Sprinkle flour on both sides of dough and cover with a clean dish cloth for approximately two hours to allow dough to rise.
Half the fun of making pizza at home is making it with someone. Putting your hands together in the soft dough, spreading it out on a pizza stone, blowing flour onto your partner for laughs and literally creating a pizza as unique as your love and lust for one another!
Start by pounding pizza dough gently from inside and stretching out to the edges.
Using a ladle, spread tomato sauce in a gentle, circular motion to cover dough as desired.
Add fresh mozzarella, basil and any other topping that fills your pizza craving. Sprinkle a bit of olive oil over the top.
Cook on 375 degrees until golden, crispy, hot and gooey!
For a little outdoor fun, I also like to cook these right on the BBQ as a very tasty alternative!
