Eat My Love was inspired by combining my love of cooking, food and passion. My name is Michelle and I began to cook from a young age. As the years progressed, I really enjoyed seeing the satisfaction of someone enjoying my creations. To me, it is the beginning of an intimate experience.
The combination of food and sensuality with your partner or love, can become enticing. Everyone may not enjoy cooking or cook well, but the love of cooking and sharing it with your partner may be sensual. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but comfortable for you and your special love.
Like love, intimacy and food, we may experiment and crave different things with that someone special. As I express these words and share my recipes, I am expressing my love for both the experience of a meal and that special person. Eat My Love is here to share how the two may be intertwined for an explosively intimate and gastronomic experience.
INTRO-SEDUCTION
The art of seduction and intimacy come in many forms. Being intimate and sensual does not have to include sexual…but it can!
Intimacy is the connection and closeness between people or things in our lives. It is understood, it is comfortable and familiar. The presentation of a beautiful meal can be intriguing when shared with that special someone.
The sensuality of preparing a meal together can heighten desires. Even if cooking is not your forte, the time spent together will be. Touching your partner’s hand, and small kisses while tasting food, can be intimate and sexy. Standing behind your partner when their hands are busy preparing food or holding their waist can send tingles down one’s back, making the craving for food and one another explosive.
In my blog, you will get a sense of the aphrodisiac components related to food and intimacy. Whether you are a culinary master in the kitchen or not, the ultimate experience should be fused with passion, eroticism and delicious food.

APHRODISIACS
Here is where I would like to touch on aphrodisiacs. An aphrodisiac, derived from Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and procreation, is a food or drink said to stimulate or arouse sexual desire. When consumed, this substance is to increase our libidos – the energy of our sexual appetite. The question still remains…do aphrodisiacs really help spark that passion?
Raw oysters have been known for centuries to stimulate one’s libido. The 18th century lover, Casanova, was known for eating 50 raw oysters for breakfast. In his memoirs he states, “I placed the shell on the edge of her lips and after a good deal of laughing, she sucked in the oyster, which she held between her lips. I instantly recovered it by placing my lips on hers.” Scientists say spring is when this shellfish has its highest concentration of aphrodisiac qualities, although the effect of an aphrodisiac quality has not been completely proven. Rich in amino acids and zinc, they stimulate high levels of sexual hormones. Historically, many aphrodisiac foods have been known to be high in minerals and vitamins and low in fat. This contributing to a healthy body engulfed with energy and nutrients, giving stamina to peak sexual performance.
Some believe this is a myth that increases your senses due to the slippery, silky texture and fresh taste of the sea. Some foods have aphrodisiac qualities, as they resemble genitalia of both men and women, because of their shape and texture. Candlelit dinners, feeding grapes to your partner or simply preparing food for or with one another while pressing, squeezing, and rubbing, may definitely heighten a sensual experience and the taste of the food!
